This product must be injected under the skin (subcutaneously), according to the technique you were shown. Be sure to choose a different injection site each time.
Use this medication regularly and continuously to maintain its beneficial effects. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed.
Dispose of used syringes and needles safely. Your pharmacist can tell you the best way to do this. If you forget a dose, the injection should be administered as soon as possible. If there is more than 7 days before the next scheduled injection, treatment can then continue with the next scheduled dose as planned. If there is less than 7 days to the next planned dose, begin a new 2-week dosing schedule starting from when you administer the missed dose. Do not administer 2 doses within 7 days of each other.

Keep this product in the refrigerator. If stored at room temperature, it will remain effective for 30 days only. Make sure that any leftover portion is disposed of safely.
Taking this medication during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method.
Some of the side effects listed above (such as headaches and flu-like symptoms) can be treated with acetaminophen. Check with your pharmacist to see whether acetaminophen is a suitable treatment for your symptoms.
Blood donation is usually refused during this treatment.
Blood tests must be done regularly while using this medication. A blood test will indicate whether your treatment is having the desired effect. It will also provide the necessary information for adjusting the dosage to the lowest effective dose, thus decreasing the risk of side effects. Be sure to keep all your appointments.
