How it works

• The pharmacist will examine your record.
• He/she will ask if you have any test results available.
• He/she will prescribe a laboratory test if necessary.

If the pharmacist decides to prescribe laboratory tests to you

• He/she will prepare a lab test request and give it to you.
• Once the test results have been received, the pharmacist will analyze and interpret them.
• He/she will send the results to your treating physician.

If certain problems are detected that cannot be resolved by the pharmacist

• • He/she will direct you to the appropriate healthcare professional.
