The art of glitter makeup

Glitter lipstick and eyeliner, shimmer powder and blush...
Glitter is a great addition to your makeup kit, especially during the Holidays. See our recommendations.

The secret to makeup that sparkles like a glass of champagne is in how you apply it. Glitter is fine, but in small doses! Choose a special "glitter zone", your eyes for instance, and subtly harmonize the rest of your face by using products that give you that perfect shimmer.

Eyes
For a fabulous glitter effect, draw a line at the base of the upper eyelashes with a gold eyeliner, a trendy look this season. Want something that’s a little more discreet? Use a combination of bright eye shadow or a little eye base on the eyelids and add some shimmer powder on top.
Lips
Feeling bold? Use a glitter lipstick, it’s perfect for any festive occasion. If you want something a little more understated, apply a bit of lipstick with your fingers and add a touch of shimmer powder on Cupid’s bow, the area on your upper lip that’s shaped like a heart.
Nails
So many choices! From glitter acrylic nails to gold nail polish to sparkly nail finish, there’s something for everyone looking to recreate this season’s trendy look.
Complexion
For a bright complexion, avoid too much glitter and use a shimmer powder instead. It's discreet but will still light up your face. You can also apply a gold base under your regular foundation. For your cheekbones, opt for a pink blush with a bit of glitter for a nice plumping effect.
Hair
As a final touch, apply a hint of shimmer powder on your hair, arms, shoulders, neck and neckline. A great way to boost your whole look.
