3 nail polishes, 5 manicure ideas

Inspired by the latest fashion shows, we are ready to test the new trends. Here are our five favourites.

Bubbles from the Au Jour le Jour fashion show

  1. Paint the entire nail with a very pale, opaque shade. We suggest an opaque white or very milky cream for a more natural, subtle effect.
  2. Apply a second coat of the same colour, and allow it to dry completely.
  3. With a sky blue polish, paint the first third of the nail, starting from the base. Apply two coats.
  4. With a nail art tool or bobby pin, pull a few lines toward the tip of the nail. Make them wavy to give them the appearance of drips.
  5. Apply a top coat to keep them shiny and long-lasting.

Alexis Mabille’s half-moon

  1. Apply two coats of greige nail polish to the entire nail. For warmer shades, opt for a more sandy or creamy colour.
  2. With a nail art stencil, define the area you want to appear as a half-moon.
  3. Paint the area closest to the base with a vibrant colour like baby blue.
  4. Finish with a top coat.

Naemm Khan’s glitter base

  1. Apply two coats of nude nail polish to the entire nail. If you choose silver glitter, opt for a cold shade, while if you go for golden glitter, opt for a nude pink.
  2. At the base of the nail, draw random little lines with glitter polish. Don’t worry about being too precise as the shape can be somewhat uneven.
  3. Finish with a top coat.

Simkhai’s double moon

  1. Apply two coats of very pale, almost white nail polish to the entire nail.
  2. Allow the polish to dry.
  3. With a French manicure guide, create a half-moon on the tip of the nail with a silver nail polish. This polish can be glittery or not, depending on your taste.
  4. Once the silver polish is dry, remove the guide with tweezers.
  5. At the base of the nail, crease a very fine half-moon with a black polish.
  6. Apply a top coat for a finishing touch.

Zero Maria Cornejo’s brush strokes

  1. On a nude nail, apply a coat of white nail polish with brush strokes, as if you were painting a canvas.
  2. Finish with a shiny top coat.
  3. Trick: you don’t have to limit yourself to just the tip of your nail—you can also go wild on the entire surface.
