Instructions

This medication is to be applied on the skin. To use:

  • Clean the affected area.
  • Apply a small amount of the product, and limit the application to the affected area.
  • Avoid applying other products to the skin within 2 hours before or after application.
Do not allow this product to come into contact with eyes or mucous membranes (e.g. lips).

This medication is typically used twice a day. However, your pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed.

If you forget a dose, take it as soon as possible, then continue with the next scheduled dose as planned.

Side Effects

In addition to its desired action, this medication may cause some adverse effects, notably:

  • it may cause itching at the site where the medication is used;
  • it may cause numbness;
  • it may cause local pain;
  • it may cause local redness.

Storage

As with most medications, this product should be stored at room temperature. Store it in a secure location where it will not be exposed to excessive heat, moisture or direct sunlight. Once opened, the product must be used within one year. Any unused portion should be discarded.
