In no time at all, create a clean line that opens the eye! Virginie Vandelac shares her tips for the perfect doe’s eye.
Let’s start… at the end!
Looking straight ahead, draw on your liner at the outer edge of your eye, the ‘comma’ of the doe’s eye. It will serve as your reference for the rest of the line. Be sure to follow an upward trajectory so you don’t make your eye look heavy.
Professional tip: follow the line of your upper eyelid and extend it upward.
Now create the rest of the line, toward the interior. For the best look possible, thin the line as it gets closer to the inside of the eye. Don’t hesitate to gently pull on your eyelid to help guide the pencil. And remember, you can always refine the line afterward, as needed.
So, what pencil should you use? The felted tip is best: it’s both malleable and precise, minimizes smudging and is good no matter the thickness of your line.
