This summer season, discover a wide array of nail polish colours, the latest manicure trends and our tips for a long-lasting finish.
A lovely manicure and a good pedicure are part of my Summer look. This year, anything goes!
INNOVATE. The rule that says that you should match your nail polish with your clothes no longer applies: nail polishes and stickers now feature checkered and polka-dotted designs or sparkles, so sticking to yesteryear's standards is out of the question. The watchword is: “Have fun!” (that includes your feet as well).
A SAFE APPROACH. If, on the other hand, you want a discrete nail polish for every occasion that brings out your manicure, nothing beats a transparent, pink, cream or beige nail polish—or why not a French manicure?
TRULY FEMININE. Unbeatable tomato or cherry red blends beautifully with any style or circumstance.
FOR SHORT NAILS. Flashy, neon or dark nail polishes go well on hands with short, well-cut nails.
DARK, BUT NOT STARK. Darker colours such as grey, black, dark blue, garnet and plum look good on any hand.
PREPARATION. Nail polish will stay on longer when nails are perfectly clean and well polished before application.BASE COAT. Never forget to apply a base coat as it helps the polish to stick and protects nails.
LIGHT COATS. Applying two light coats makes for a shorter drying time.TOP COAT. Ideal for added shine, faster drying and to avoid cracking.
Colours to favour... tangerine orange, warm corals and salmon pastel.Colours to flaunt... striking shades such as pink fuchsia, turquoise, blue-green and navy blue.
Eternal classics... bare tones!
