Dry skin

Oily skin

Combination skin

Combination skin is the result of an uneven distribution of lipids, thus creating dry and oily zones. There are two different types of combination skin.

  1. Combination-oily skin: When skin is rather dry around the cheeks and very oily in the T-zone area (Forehead, nose, chin).
  2. Combination-dry skin: When skin is dry or very dry around the cheeks and normal to oily in the T-zone area.

CARING FOR YOUR SKIN: A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE

Even though it gives your skin a good head start, moisturizers aren't enough to guarantee a radiant skin tone. You also need to lead a healthy life. Here's a simple, 4-step plan of attack.

Drink water

Lots of water: at least 6 to 8 glasses of water every day. This will help hydrate your skin deeply, from within, for a more luminous tone. And if water's not your thing, don't worry: soups, herb teas, flavoured ice or homemade lemonade will also do the trick. But go easy on the sugar!

Cleanse your skin properly

Clean skin ages more slowly, so don't miss a chance to wash! Make it a ritual morning and night using a gentle cleanser without rinsing (the chlorine and calcium in tap water can harm your skin). Too busy? Always have a box of gentle makeup-remover towelettes close at hand in case of emergencies. 

Watch what you eat

Your skin tone is also affected from within, so stay beautiful by eating carefully. Variety is the spice of life! In addition to fruits and vegetables, choose items that have been processed as little as possible. Also make sure to eat foods rich in antioxidants and omega-3 acids to soften your skin, retain its elasticity and fight free radicals that damage your skin and your appearance. 

Sleep

A number of studies have clearly shown that lack of sleep accelerates aging of the skin. Wrinkles, dryness, sagging, pimples, pigmentation... short nights are merciless on our skin! Because it doesn't have enough time to regenerate itself, your skin becomes more vulnerable to the passage of time, and less effective at resisting the stresses of the day. Give your skin a fighting chance by sleeping at least eight hours a night. You'll wake up feeling and looking refreshed!
