Inspired by the latest fashion shows, we are ready to test the new trends. Here are our five favourites.
Bubbles from the Au Jour le Jour fashion show
- Paint the entire nail with a very pale, opaque shade. We suggest an opaque white or very milky cream for a more natural, subtle effect.
- Apply a second coat of the same colour, and allow it to dry completely.
- With a sky blue polish, paint the first third of the nail, starting from the base. Apply two coats.
- With a nail art tool or bobby pin, pull a few lines toward the tip of the nail. Make them wavy to give them the appearance of drips.
- Apply a top coat to keep them shiny and long-lasting.
Alexis Mabille’s half-moon
- Apply two coats of greige nail polish to the entire nail. For warmer shades, opt for a more sandy or creamy colour.
- With a nail art stencil, define the area you want to appear as a half-moon.
- Paint the area closest to the base with a vibrant colour like baby blue.
- Finish with a top coat.
Naemm Khan’s glitter base
- Apply two coats of nude nail polish to the entire nail. If you choose silver glitter, opt for a cold shade, while if you go for golden glitter, opt for a nude pink.
- At the base of the nail, draw random little lines with glitter polish. Don’t worry about being too precise as the shape can be somewhat uneven.
- Finish with a top coat.
Simkhai’s double moon
- Apply two coats of very pale, almost white nail polish to the entire nail.
- Allow the polish to dry.
- With a French manicure guide, create a half-moon on the tip of the nail with a silver nail polish. This polish can be glittery or not, depending on your taste.
- Once the silver polish is dry, remove the guide with tweezers.
- At the base of the nail, crease a very fine half-moon with a black polish.
- Apply a top coat for a finishing touch.
Zero Maria Cornejo’s brush strokes
- On a nude nail, apply a coat of white nail polish with brush strokes, as if you were painting a canvas.
- Finish with a shiny top coat.
- Trick: you don’t have to limit yourself to just the tip of your nail—you can also go wild on the entire surface.
