Full, natural eyebrows hit the runway in 2010 and they've been highly popular ever since. And the easiest way to get them is by using the Soap Brow technique— featured everywhere on Instagram. Our beauty expert Virginie Vandelac presents her version. Just follow these three easy steps for perfect results!

What is the Soap Brow technique?

Popularized in 2018 by makeup artist Priscilla Ono, the Soap Brow uses, you guessed it, soap to set the brows. Just moisten a brush with some setting mist, run the brush over a bar of soap, and then comb your brows up and back.

Why use soap? Well, for starters, it's been the go-to product for professional makeup artists for ages. First, its thick formula provides great staying power, and second, it ensures beautiful results on all types of brows, even the thinnest.  Watch out, though! You shouldn't use it on your brows daily.

Why? Because soap doesn't always work well with some facial products and its relatively high pH can cause irritation... the last thing you want in your eyes is soap!

The Soap Brow effect... without the soap!

  1. Brush your eyebrows with a long-lasting gel, then use the back of a brush to push the hairs upward to create lift.
  2. Using a fine-tip pen that's the same colour as your brows, draw small lines between the hairs to enhance the lift.
  3. Use a beveled brush, fill in the remaining gaps with a long-lasting balm.

Psst! This technique is perfect for framing your eyes if you wear glasses!
