Adults: Drink 1 cup daily. Duration of use: Consult a health care practitioner for use beyond 7 days.

Slowly pour boiling water over sachet and allow to steep for 5 minutes, preferably covered. If desired, sweeten with honey.

Hypersensitivity is known to occur, in which case, discontinue use. Consult a health care practitioner if symptoms persist or worsen. Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you are taking heart medications or corticosteroids, or if you have a kidney disorder, in which case overuse or extended use may cause dependence for bowel function. Discontinue use if you experience abdominal pain, cramps, spasms and/or diarrhoea. Do not take any type of laxative for more than one (1) week, unless your physician has ordered a special schedule for you. Laxative should not be taken within 2 hours of another medicine because the desired effect of the other medicine may be reduced. Oral products produce action in 6 to 12 hours.

Contraindication(s): Do not use if you have diarrhoea, hemorhoids, a chronic gastroinstestinal disorder, intestinal obstruction, stenosis and/or atony, appendicitis, an inflammatory colon disease (e.g., Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis), abdominal pain of unknown origin and/or a state of severe dehydration with water and electrolyte depletion. Do not use if you are taking diuretics, licorice root or other drugs that may aggravate electrolyte imbalance. Do not use if pregnant or breastfeeding. Do not use in the presence of abdominal pain, nausea, fever or vomiting (these are signs of appendicitis or inflamed bowel).

Medicinal ingredients: Each sachet contains: Cascara sagrada bark (frangula purshiana) 300 mg, senna leaves (senna cassia) 285 mg.

Non-medicinal ingredients: Each sachet contains: Spearmint leaves (mentha spicata), anis seeds (pimpinella anisum).
