Unisom^® Extra Strength tablets contain diphenhydramine hydrochloride. It is indicated for the relief of occasional nighttime sleeplessness due to overwork or fatigue.

Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if you:

Have a breathing problem such as emphysema or chronic lung disease, glaucoma, difficulty urinating due to enlargement of the prostate gland.
Take sedatives or tranquillizers.
Are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Take a prescription drug or other medication.

Stop use and ask a doctor if:

Sleeplessness continues for more than 2 weeks. Sleeplessness may be a symptom of a serious underlying medical illness.
In case of an overdose, call a poison control centre or get medical help right away.

Adults and children 12 years and over:

Take 1 capsule at bedtime if needed or as directed by your doctor.
If you experience drowsiness in the morning, consult a doctor or pharmacist, as you do not need a lower dose (25 mg)
Do not exceed the recommended dose, except on the advice of a doctor.
For occasional use only

This product may not be right for you. Always read and follow the label. Keep out of the reach of children.

Do not use:

In children under 12 years of age.
If you are elderly, especially if you experience confusion at nighttime, as this drug may cause excitation rather than sedation.
With any other product containing this medicinal ingredient, even one used on skin.

Medicinal Ingredient:

Each Unisom^® tablet contains 50 mg of diphenhydramine hydrochloride.

Non-Medicinal Ingredient:

Dibasic calcium phosphate dihydrate, FD&C Blue N0.1, hypromellose, macrogol 400, macrogol 8000, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium starch glycolate.
