Step 1Pull on the two red ends located on either side of the hand grip.Push down on the hand grip to lower it to its lowest level. This is a temporary measure. The final adjustment on the hand grip will be done at step 4.Step 2 (adjust the underarm pad)You will need someone to assist you. Depress the two golden push-buttons together and adjust them to a level suitable for your height. If you are taller than 158 cm (5 ft 2 in.), pull up the underarm pad to access additional adjustments.Three stickers are fixed to the inside of the crutch indicate the height ranges.140 to 158 cm (4 ft 7 in. to 5 ft 2 in.)160 to 178 cm (5 ft 3 in. to 5 ft 10 in.)180 to 200 cm (5 ft 11 in. to 6 ft 7 in.)Step 3 (adjust the bottom)You will find stickers, indicating the height ranges, at the very bottom of the crutch. Depress the two silver push-buttons together and adjust them to a level suitable for your height.Step 4 (adjust the hand grip)Lift the hand grip up until your elbow is slightly bent (forming about a 10° angle with the crutch). Find the opening nearest this level and push the two red ends in to insert the pegs.Step 5Place the crutches beneath your underarms and adopt the position shown in the diagram opposite. The two blue dots represent the crutch tips. If the various adjustments were properly made, a position that leans slightly forward should not cause any discomfort. If there is discomfort, check your adjustments.
