Aim for radiant skin without spots

Women are typically concerned about their skin’s appearance, especially that of the face. Having healthy glowing skin contributes to a person’s good mood and many women with skin problems are constantly in search of solutions.

Pigmented spots, also called “dark spots”, are often on the short list of common esthetic concerns. Dark spots and irregular complexion can be caused by several factors such as the sun, aging of the skin, acne and even certain medications. They often appear on the face, neck and hands.

To prevent or reduce the appearance of pigmented spots, here are a few tips:

  • Use quality sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30 every day.
  • Keep your skin well hydrated as often as possible. Choose your hydrating product carefully.
  • Quit smoking.
  • Use an anti spot corrector specially made for people with dark spots such as ProEVEN by Vichy Laboratories.
  • If your dark spot problem persists or worsens, consult a dermatologist.

If you have pigmented spots or wish to prevent them, talk to a cosmetician at your Jean Coutu store. She can suggest some excellent products that will help you restore your radiant skin and your cheerfulness.
