The Jean Coutu Group has been a long-time partner in major fundraising campaigns for causes that are in line with its mission, which is to care for people’s health.

Here are a few examples of campaigns which the Jean Coutu Group is involved in each year:

Le Mois des Câlins for the benefit of the CHU Sainte-Justine Foundation

Stores affiliated with the Jean Coutu network in Quebec and Clarins have been partnering since 2006 to raise funds for the CHU Sainte-Justine Foundation by selling the Clarins “Rose Câlins” Lip Perfector.

Guignolée des médias

The Jean Coutu Group has been a partner of the Guignolée des médias, one of the largest fundraisers and food drives in Quebec, since the very first edition in 2001.

Canadian Cancer Society’s Thingamaboob campaign

Since 2009, the Jean Coutu Group has partnered with the Canadian Cancer Society to promote the Quebec Breast Cancer Screening Program. Profits from the sale of the Thingamaboob keychain, which serves as a reminder for women aged 50 to 69 of the importance of having a mammogram done every two years, are used to fund prevention activities.

Opération Bonne Mine program by the Société de Saint-Vincent de Paul

As a partner of the Société de Saint-Vincent de Paul’s Opération Bonne Mine program since 1999, the Jean Coutu Group helps financially challenged families purchase school supplies, which enables children to start the school year on the right foot.
